What is "Han"?
1. a mediation between ink and paper in printing. printing plate or printing-block. Depending on the printing process, there are several types: relief, intaglio, planography, wood-block, and type-printing.
2. To print by using a printing plate or printing-block, or to publish editions
Works are created after repeatedly being processed through the filter of han.
What is the actual process? This exhibit will attempt to help you understand the difference between paintings, prints and block prints and the appeal of block print work.(Kazuto Masui)

The material of the work is A4 photocopy paper. Through the simple actions of cutting, rolling, and standing" pieces of paper, a familiar object turns into a work of art. I use everyday objects for my work to connect the venue to daily life while at the same time transforming it into non-everyday atmosphere.
My works consist of repetitions of identical figures or an aggregate of similar forms because I feel numbers and volume create works with a unique allure. Parts and space are based on an established rule or principle. When a piece based on a rule becomes part of an aggregate, the aggregate itself becomes complete as a work of art. I intensely believe that this is a thing of beauty. (Kunio Inoue)
