the center for creative communications

The center for creative communication has been set up as a facility for nurturing creative talent, encouraging content industry development, and promoting collaboration with local industry and businesses.

CCC's key words are: Contemporary, Creative, and Communication. Through various events, workshops, and educational activities, introducing wide range of contemporary innovative works in the field of art, science technology, and creative industry, we aim to help activate the collaboration between domestic and overseas creators, and to develop industries in Shizuoka. We hope the visitors to meet, learn and interact with the latest expressions and feel the up to date creative tides here at the center. By supporting creative activities based on the Shizuoka's unique cultural background and values, we wish to realize a true global communication.

Activities

>Nurturing Tenant Creatives

Studio space will be rented to creatives who have passed through a selection process, providing them a variety of equipment and space to carry out their work projects. In addition, people with detailed knowledge of the contents industry will be available to provide guidance on technical matters, marketing, and application. Tenant creatives will also have the opportunity to use the center's gallery to exhibit their works and give presentations.

>Digital High Vision Production and Editing

To provide an environment conducive to digital film production at low cost, the center provides high-definition film equipment, an editing room, and a recording studio. The editing room requires reservations, and is operated by specialist staff.

>Contents Industry Awareness Building

The center will host exhibits by famous creatives from across the country and around the world, allowing technical school students and local creatives to improve their eye for innovation and raise their technical and artistic ability.

>Seminars, Workshops, and Training

The center will invite top level creatives from around the world to hold seminars, workshops, and training sessions for local university and technical school students and aspiring creativies.

>Interaction Between Creatives and other Industry People

The center will be a great place to support the formulation of global networks between regional creatives. By hosting seminars, training sessions, classes, and exhibits, contents-related developers and local and international creatives will have a place to interact and share ideas. This will also give excellent opportunities for business matching between creatives and local industry.

>Contents Industry Support

The center will support undertakings for new ventures and new product development born of collaboration between creatives and local business.

>Providing Information on Creative Activity

Via the Internet and trade publications, the center will collect and provide information on the latest contents industry activity from around the globe for creatives and contents-related businesses.
Also, to help promote the center and other local creative activity, the center will provide space for the Shizuoka Contents Valley Festival.
