NCC Shizuoka 2011 Exhibit Competition Results

There were 32 submissions from Shizuoka Prefecture residents for the center for creative communications` exhibit competition "NCC-Shizuoka 2011. After careful selection, 10 winners were chosen to present their exhibitions here at CCC. Between May and October CCC will be hosting 2 exhibits at a time.

□ "Scaled Down Architectural Exhibit": Shuhei Goto (Iwata City)
□ "emoglyph—the design of emotional Japanese characters": Tomohiro Ikegaya (Shizuoka City)

■Part Three: 2011.08.15 (mon)–08.27 (sat)
□ "Children's' Design School" Workshop: Reico Motohara (Shizuoka City)
□ "The Yatsuyama Art": Team Yatsuyama (Shizuoka City)

■Part Four: 2011.09.5 (mon)–09.17 (sat)
□ "Mirrors & Chairs" : Kayoko Matsunaga (Shizuoka City)
□ "Voiceless Poetry": Denise Baumgartner (Shizuoka City)

■Part Five: 2011.10.3 (mon)–10.15 (sat)
□ "Matsunaga Ayumi's Rock Bottom Films": Ayumi Matsunaga (Susono City)
□ "Kuru-Kuru Art": Aya Suzuki (Hamamatsu City)

About the NCC Shizuoka 2011 Exhibit Competition

Shizuoka City’s the center for creative communications (CCC) is accepting exhibition entries from Shizuoka Prefecture residents. A total of 10 will be selected to receive support from CCC to hold exhibitions at CCC in 2011. We hope to see many of Shizuoka’s talent participate.

**Submissions are no longer being accepted.**
■ Submission Start Date: 2011 January 6 (Thu.)
■ Submission Deadline: 2011 April 6 (Wed.) *emailed or postmarked by the dedline date
■ Support Provided to Selected Entries:
□Support of up to 50,000 JPY towards exhibit preparation (per exhibit). Total of 10 exhibitions selected.
□Two-week exhibit space for free at CCC between May and October 2011 (planned).
□Creation of DM (1 per 2 exhibits) and partial support in publicity (CCC website, blog, SNS, etc...)

B: 2011 May 30 (Mon.) to June 11 (Sat.); about 2 weeks (12 days)

C: 2011 Aug. 15 (Mon.) to Aug. 27 (Sat.); about 2 weeks (12 days)

D: 2011 Sep. 5 (Mon.) to Sept. 17 (Sat.); about 2 weeks (12 days)

E: 2011 Oct. 3 (Mon.) to Oct. 15 (Sat.); about 2 weeks (11 days)

■ Exhibition Date Decision

CCC will coordinate exhibition dates amongst seleceted entries.

■ Exhibition Space

Either CCC’s 2F gallery or 3F exhibit corner.

■ Selection Schedule

□Application Screening: Selected entries will be contacted within 1 week afte the submission deadline.
□Public announcement of winning entries will be made on the CCC website, www..c-c-c.or.jp, in mid April 2011.
