NCC Shizuoka 2012 Exhibit Competition Results

There were 23 submissions from Shizuoka Prefecture residents for the center for creative communications' exhibit competition "NCC-Shizuoka 2012". After careful selection, 10 winners were chosen to present their exhibitions here at CCC. Between July and November CCC will be hosting 2 exhibits at a time.

■Part Two: 2012.08.13 (mon)–09.01 (sat)
□ "Aaburu Museum": Akiko Fujiwara (Shizuoka City)
□ "wac x Shizuoka": Emiko Yoshida (Yaizu City)

■Part Three: 2012.09.10 (mon)–09.29 (sat)
□ "Our secret base.": Daisuke Kondo (Shizuoka City)
□ "space of symbols that have been combined(planned)": Kousuke Tajima (Haibara Gun)

■Part Four: 2012.10.09 (tue)–10.27 (sat)
□ "world." : Tanakayuki (Yaizu City)
□ "Meet again Letterpress printing(planned)":
     Tokoha Gakuen University, Sugita laboratory, Letterpress printing Club (Shizuoka City)

■Part Five: 2012.11.05 (mon)–11.24 (sat)
□ "YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL(planned)": Yutaka Nozawa (Shizuoka City)
□ "12 goats": Etsuo Takasugi (Fuji City)

About the NCC Shizuoka 2012 Exhibit Competition

Shizuoka City’s the center for creative communications (CCC) is accepting exhibition entries from Shizuoka Prefecture residents and Shizuoka native creators. A total of 10 will be selected to receive support from CCC to hold exhibitions at CCC in 2012. We hope to see many of Shizuoka’s talent participate.

■ Submission Start Date: 2012 January 10 (Tue.)
■ Submission Deadline: 2012 April 28 (Sat.) *emailed or postmarked by the dedline date
■ Support Provided to Selected Entries:
□Support of up to 50,000 JPY towards exhibit preparation (per exhibit). Total of 10 exhibitions selected.
□Three-week exhibit space for free at CCC between July and November 2012 (planned).
□Creation of DM (1 per 2 exhibits) and partial support in publicity (CCC website, blog, SNS, etc...)

■ Eligibility:

Shizuoka Prefecture resident or Shizuoka native creator, regardless of age or nationality (group OK)
Not a winner of past NCC or NCC Shizuoka.
*To provide many creators with an opportunity to show their works.

■ Exhibition Session Dates (2 exhibits per session)

A: 2012 July 9 (Mon.) to July 28 (Sat.); about 3 weeks (17 days)

B: 2012 Aug. 13 (Mon.) to Sep. 1 (Sat.); about 3 weeks (18 days)
　　　　*Set up: Aug. 10 (Fri.) & 11 (Sat.) / Take down: Sep. 3 (Mon.) & 4 (Tue.)
C: 2012 Sep. 10 (Mon.) to Sep. 29 (Sat.); about 3 weeks (16 days)
　　　　*Set up: Sep. 7 (Fri.) & 8 (Sat.) / Take down: Oct. 1 (Mon.) & 2 (Tue.)
D: 2012 Oct. 9 (Tue.) to Oct. 27 (Sat.); about 3 weeks (17 days)
　　　　*Set up: Oct. 5 (Fri.) & 6 (Sat.) / Take down: Oct. 29 (Mon.) & 30 (Tue.)
E: 2012 Nov. 5 (Mon.) to Nov. 24 (Sat.); about 3 weeks (17 days)
　　　　*Set up: Nov. 1 (Thu.) & 2 (Fri.) / Take down: Nov. 26 (Mon.) & 27 (Tue.)

*CCC will be closed on Sundays & holidays.

■ Exhibition Date Decision

CCC will coordinate exhibition dates amongst seleceted entries.

■ Exhibition Space

Either CCC’s 2F gallery or 3F exhibit corner.

■ Selection Schedule

□Application Screening: Selected entries will be contacted within 1 week afte the submission deadline.
□Public announcement of winning entries will be made on the CCC website, www..c-c-c.or.jp, in early May 2012.
