A year long event by the Shizuoka native manga artist Shiriagari Kotobuki.
Starting off with the year long exhibit “Shiriagari Kotobuki Archives - Laughter” at CCC, various exhibits and events will be held throughout Shizuoka City. An installation at the Sumpu Watchtower recreating the Meiji return of imperial power, art competition, talk show and more are in the works. Come tour Shizuoka City, Shiriagari Kotobuki style.

How would you like to exhibit your own archive here at CCC? As part of the Shiriagari "Iroiro Yaru-ra" event we are currently accepting entries for "Your Mini Archive". Those entries selected by Shiriagari Kotobuki will have the chance to exhibit.
Content: Can be about anything: a person, place or thing.
Who: Anyone individual or group can submit (a total of 9 will be chosen)
Place: CCC 2F Exhibit Corner area
Exhibit Periods: 3 groups will exhibit in each period of 6 weeks
1st: 2011.07.16 (sat) – 08/27 (sat) (closed sun. & holidays) (3 exhibits) *Ended
2nd: 2011.09.10 (sat) – 10.22 (sat) (closed sun. & holidays) (3 exhibits) *Ended

Here's online exhibit for all Ori-chara!
An exhibition of original characters designed by elementary students along with works by“Baka Drill”books author and this exhibit's creator Masakazu Amahisa. Character drawings in“cute”,“cool”,“funny”,and“monster”categories have been sent in from children all over Japan for this exhibition.
When: 2011.11.12 (sat)–12.17 (sat) 10:00-20:30 (closed sundays & holidays)

Born in 1958 in Shizuoka. After graduating university he worked at Kirin Beverage. until he debuted as a manga artist with the work "Eriki-no-Haru". Since then he has won many awards for his work including the 5th Tezuka Osamu Manga Award for “Yaji Kita in Deep”. He also writes, does filmwork and other art activities.
