New Creators Competition 2010 – Application Details!

In continuation of our support for budding creatives, CCC (the center for creative communication) is proud to hold the 2nd New Creators Competition. 2 selected exhibit plan entries will receive funding to support the execution of the exhibits, which will be held in January 2010 at CCC in either 2F Gallery or 3F Exhibit Corner.

■ *Thanks to all who submitted exhibit plans. We will announce the winning entries soon.
■ Exhibit Dates: 2010 January 15 (Fri.) to February 13 (Sat.) [planned]
*Both exhibits will be shown at the same time.

New Creators Competition Application Guidelines

■ Creative Activities Eligible

Design (graphic, product, environmental), animation, manga, architecture, art, movie, photography,
Web, game, etc...

■ Exhibit Dates:

2010 January 15 (Fri.) to February 13 (Sat.) [planned]
*Both exhibits will be shown at the same time.
[Setup Period] January 8 (Fri.)–14 (Thu.) [Removal Period] February 15 (Mon.)–17 (Wed.) 。

■ Submission Start Date:

2009 June 1 (Mon.)

■ Submission Deadline:

2009 October 10 (Sat.) *postmarked or hand-delivered

■ Materials to be Submitted:

Exhibition proposal and plans.

■ Applicant Conditions:

+ Must be 40 years of age or younger as of the end of March 2010.
+ No nationality requirements; international applicants accepted.
+ Those who pass the 1st round of screening must be able to attend 2nd round interviews which will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009.
+ Must be able to take responsibility for the exhibit, from planning, implementation to removal.

■ Forms of Support:

+ Free use of the 2F gallery or 3F Exhibit Corner space at CCC during the exhibition period.
+ The center will make approximately 5000 flyers for promoting both exhibits.
+ Promotion of exhibit on the center's web site, newsletter, email announcements, press release, etc...
+ Financial support of up to 200,000 JPY for the exhibit budget.

■ Judging Method:

+ 1st Round: Screening of submitted materials. / October 23rd (Fri.)
Only those who have passed will be notified.
+ 2nd round: Interviews / October 31st (Sat.) 　Place: the center for creative communications
Results will be announced on the center's website, www.c-c-c.or.jp, in the beginning of November 2009.
