Kid’s Animation Workshop
“Sweet Animation”

Under the instruction of a professional animator, this CCC workshop aims to foster an appreciation for art-making thru film. Using everyday items of candy, a digital camera and computer, children will experience the joy of animation while their creative skills are challenged.

When: When: 2011.12.26 (mon.) - 27 (tue.) (2days) 10:00-16:30
Venue: CCC
Fee: 500 yen
Who: 10 children living in Shizuoka City (Elementary 1st or 2nd year) *must be able to attend all 2days
Organizer: the center for creative communications (CCC)
Cooperation: NPO Hexaproject
Instructor: Miki Kobayashi (Animator with Hexaproject)

Workshop-related Exhibition

The animation work created by the participants will be on exhibit.

Schedule

<Day One>12/26(mon.)
■AM: How do you make animation?
Learn how stop motion animation is made from instructor Miki Kobayashi.
■PM: Time to animate! 
Divided into groups of 2, each group will make an animation using candy.

<Day Two>12/27(tue.)
■AM: Time to animate! 
Divided into groups of 2, each group will make an animation using candy.
■PM: Animation Premiere!
Children will present their animation.

Profile
Miki Kobayashi

Born in 1978, Shizuoka. Spent 6 years at FuriFuri Company as an illustrator, character designer and animation director. Affiliated with Hexaproject since 2008, she is active locally and globally with her unique POP character designs.

Animation works include:
MTV_China Station ID "Planet": director
Kid's Station animation "Onegai Poku-pon": director
WOWOW animation "Mottainai-nai Muppi-to-issho": director
"A Dog's Life" Movie: character design, artwork, color direction
Original animation "Yume-Yume"
